Use your Christmas lights and tree to your advantage.
Today, I wanted to turn the tables and ask you a question.
How do you decorate for the holidays? Are you modest or do you go all-out for the Clark Griswold look?
If you want to sell your house, you should decorate on the modest side. You want to do a few things that will really show off your house and its features without being distracting. Use Christmas lights to show off the architecture of your home by stringing them up along the roof line or around posts if you have a craftsman style home, for example.
You can also use your Christmas tree to your advantage. If you have a two-story great room, you can use a tall Christmas tree to show off how big that great room really is. If it’s too wide, though, it might eat up some floor space and make your room appear smaller than it really is. If you have a smaller living space, you want to go with a skinnier tree.
These are just a few tips for using holiday decorations to your advantage. If you’re interested in more tips for your specific home, don’t hesitate to give me a call for a quick consultation. I’d love to help you out!
